You should allow approx. 45 minutes for the ascent to the Kaprun high mountain reservoirs.
Transfer buses and the Lärchwand inclined lift take you conveniently from the Kesselfall ticket office to the Mooserboden reservoir. There is no timetable for the transfer buses to the reservoirs, the buses run continuously (depending on the number of visitors). We try to keep any waiting times as short as possible.

From the Kaprun roundabout, follow the signs towards Kitzsteinhorn and the reservoirs. At the end of the public road you will reach the Kesselfall ticket office, the starting point for the transfer to the Kaprun high mountain reservoirs
Important: It is not permitted to drive up to the reservoirs in your own vehicle. Parking spaces for cars are available in the Kesselfall multi-storey car park. The first hour is free of charge. The daily rate is € 5,-.
Open the ticketshop and select the desired category. In the next step, select your desired day of visit. Then check your selection in the shopping basket and complete the purchase process with the payment

If you have not received a confirmation email and your online ticket after completing the payment process, it is likely that the process was cancelled prematurely. Check the transactions already booked on your credit card and whether all the requirements for a successful payment (correct entry of data, authorisation of the cardholder, available credit volume, internet connection) are met. If a debit has been made without subsequent confirmation by e-mail / sending of the online ticket, please contact us
Yes, tickets are available both at the ticket machine and at the Kesselfall ticket office. Please note that there may be longer waiting times on busy days (weekends and holiday periods). To shorten waiting times, simply buy an online ticket in advance.
Adults with disabilities receive a 50% discount on the ascent and descent under certain conditions. In order to take advantage of the offer, an Austrian disability pass, a severely disabled person's pass or a European disability pass with the following details is required:
No, unfortunately no discount can be granted for online purchases. Please buy your ticket directly at the Kesselfall ticket office and show your advantage card. Important: Holders of a Zell-am-See-Kaprun summer card do not need an additional ticket. The transfer is possible directly with a valid summer card

A one-off rebooking of your reservation is possible free of charge until 18:00 the day before. Simply open the ticketshop again and click on "Rebooking". Please note that rebooking is no longer possible after 18:00.
In the event of a road closure due to weather-related restrictions (snow, avalanche risk, heavy rain, landslide, rockfall, mudslide, etc.), the ticket can be rebooked once and free of charge. Simply open the ticketshop again and click on "Rebooking". If you do not wish to make use of the free rebooking service, please send us a message with a copy of your ticket (photo or PDF) and your bank details (IBAN and BIC) to tourismus@verbund.com We will usually refund the purchase amount within 10 working days.
