Accessibility information
Accessibility when using our websites and online services
VERBUND AG and VERBUND Tourismus GmbH are committed to making their websites and online services accessible to all. Our websites and online services on verbund.com and visit.verbund.com meet the requirements of the Accessibility Act (BaFG). The following standards and guidelines are applied:
- Harmonised European Standard (EN) 301 549, version 3.2.1
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), version 2.1, Levels A and AA
To ensure ongoing compliance with these standards in the course of continuous development, our websites and online services are subject to regular reviews by external accessibility experts as well as automated and manual testing procedures. If you experience any barriers to accessibility, you can report them by sending an email to our Accessibility team at barrierefreiheit@verbund.com.
Accessibility when visiting our technical facilities
VERBUND's power plants are embedded in a natural environment and are therefore not always at ground level. The surrounding countryside is also largely inaccessible to wheelchairs and therefore difficult to reach for people with physical disabilities. However, this does not only affect people with limited mobility, families with prams or elderly people.
We always try to keep barriers in the built environment to a minimum. Every visitor should be able to experience nature, technology, hydropower and electricity generation. Although there are always barriers in all our information centres and excursion destinations, there is always a solution. We will do our best to make your visit possible.
